Many years ago in Pittsburgh, PA, my Great Grandmother lost her battle with Colon Cancer only to be followed by her daughter, my grandmother, of Brain Cancer in the mid-’40s. In the 1990s, our family again began a battle with cancer with my Mom who survived her first battle, only to succumb in 2009 with complications after a short recurrence. During those years, we saw my Uncle and my Aunt (father’s side) pass to Ovarian Cancer. My Mom’s sister is also a Survivor.
We then see our generation get touched as my older sister fought and won against two different cancers in the early 2000s. Now to me – June 17, 2018 is the day my battle started. Uterine Cancer and Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma. Again, I had to be extra and battle two at once. 😉
On December 19, 2018, I was told I am in remission! Wow!

Finally I made it to June 30th, 2020. I got to ring the bell! Finally this type of torture was done and I could move on to the next.
