I would love to share my story with you and others.
September of 2014, I went to watch my oldest daughter, who was in Junior High at the time, run cross country. That day, I felt a pain in my hip that months later, would be excruciating. By January, I could barely walk and doctors were baffled at what could be wrong with me. I could not bathe myself or dress myself, and I would scream out in pain every-time I walked.
In March of 2015, I had a MRI that changed my life. They found multiple tumors in my hip and spine that were eating away at the bones. After several biopsies, my oncologist discovered that I had Stage 4 Nonhogkins Lymphoma Diffuse Large B Cell.
After 8 brutal rounds of chemo I finally went into remission. However, in March of 2016, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had to undergo surgery to remove my entire thyroid and a few lymph nodes. I am thankful to say that as of October of 2020 I am 5 years in remission for Nonhogkins.
