Ashley Della Pelle, Fund Love’s First Ambassador

Hello, my name is Ashley Della Pelle, and I was born in Nashua, New Hampshire. I am twenty-seven years old and am married to my husband, Andrew Della Pelle, going on seven years now. We have three beautiful children together: Adalena age 4, Audrey age 3, and Andrew who is 8 months old.

I have lived in Washington State, Maryland, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. I love to travel around the world and explore different cultures. My dream one day is to go to Italy!

On November 14, 2018, I was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a rare cancer that is typically only found in children ages one to nine. I found out I had cancer from multiple broken bones in my back. My cancer started in my right sinus, went to my left sinus, then to all my lymph nodes and bones in my body. I am in stage four, and there is no cure for my cancer.  I was given two years to live on chemotherapy and am being treated every three weeks for the rest of my life. I am hoping to find a clinical trial that can save my life.

I wanted to join the Fund Love team because I wanted to be a part of something that is much bigger than me. I want to be able to help at least one person! I want to help promote a non-profit organization so that we can get together as many people as possible to raise awareness and support opportunities to gather information for potential research for different types of cancers.

If we ever have people write in looking for advice or who just want someone to listen to them talk about what they are going through, I would love more than anything to be that person. I also find it really important to get my story out there on the type of cancer I have. Due to it being so rare, I would love to help someone who might be in a similar situation.
